Machteld Kooij, ‘The Secret Weapon of Hilversum’, has been training TV and radio presenters and podcasters in the Netherlands and Belgium for years, as well as giving media training to guests on the other side of the microphone. Machteld studied Theatre, Film and TV science at Utrecht University and presented several programmes for NPO. She and a colleague have a podcast about media training, 'A pod of Failure and Radiance with Kooijmans and Kooij'. She recorded her tips and tricks in the book 'The monster with the golden eyes, presentation and media training for speakers in the spotlight'.

How do you sound behind the microphone? Whether you already have your own podcast or you're curious if it's something for you, in this workshop you'll sit in TivoliVredenburg's podcast studio and go into recording. You will receive feedback from your fellow participants and from trainer Machteld Kooij. Introduce your subject in such a way that listeners become curious and want to keep listening. Have the guts to present yourself as an expert or enthusiastic host, using the best possible voice. After this workshop, you will want to get started with your podcast(plans) straight away. There is only limited space per session, so register quickly if this is something for you.
